HiMy AVG detected that I had the stubby b virus and that it was contained in a file on my C drive. The file ectension was: C:/_RESTORE/TEMP/A0062464.CPY I done a search on Yahoo for information on CPY files to see if they can be deleted without causing any problems and came up with the following: Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 11:52 am Posted by Jaclyn (1 messages posted) to delete all your C:\_RESTORE\TEMP files go in disk cleanup, then more options, sytem restore clean up and then go to troubleshooting and disable system restore, click ok, restart the pc and your restore files will be all gone. Enable your system sytem restore and everything should be ok. Hope that works for you :-) Jaclyn I followed the instructions and it deleted the virus. Peter To enable the system retore after deleting the infected file I went to Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Performance, File System, Troubleshooting and then enbaled the system restore at the bottom of the page. Good Luck Peter

Just an anonymous( because I don't seek or welcome response)to say that the disk cleanup solution offered by Peter Wood worked for me.If you have trouble finding diskclean, gostart/programs/accessories/system tools/ disk cleanup and follow his instructions from there. I am probably the only person around who does not know that anyway! I would just add that AVG scan finds this virus but has so far proved unable to remove it to vault: so it has lurked for 4 days or so and led to innumerable crashes. So, vote of thanks due to Peter Wood!
